Recovering an old 70-year-old warehouse for housing purposes, can become a new space for everyday life, intelligently researching useful environments with space-saving and open-space solutions.
And that's exactly what we did for this project, transforming an old warehouse into an interior in a beautiful apartment in the heart of Turin. The warehouse was 70 square meters with a new building of 20 square meters, has become 90 square meters.
We have chosen different materials, including wood, metal and glass, to be furnished to measure and in industrial style, which are well contextualized with the building envelope. The distribution of interior spaces is simple and well optimized, leaving ample room for aggregation environments. The project is a small bonbonniere.
Through the modularity of simple shapes, we have made volumes fluid and readable, allowing you to navigate very complex spaces. The mezzanine, from which you access a hammock suspended above the room, the zenithal lighting given by the presence of 14 skylights, the huge windows in the facade and, outside, the presence of a pergola and a staircase that winds parallel to the façade and leading a small hanging garden, they make the project unique.
The materials, the colors and the lights are coordinated in a dialogue with a strong and at the same time balanced character
